Issues
Childcare and Early Childhood Education
American families are facing significant challenges with the cost and availability of early childhood education and childcare. Recent polling found that 52% of registered voters believe that most families raising young children in America today are struggling, with 68% of Americans deeming childcare in their community expensive, and more than 1 out of 3 voters say it is difficult to find. These financial hurdles are affecting family growth, as 25% of voters have made consequential decisions, such as delaying childbearing or having fewer children, due to cost concerns. Centerline Liberties believes that childcare and early childhood education systems build the foundation for a thriving society and strong families. Investing in early childhood care and education is not just a win for American families, but a critical driver for the U.S. economy, societal well-being, and America’s future competitiveness.
Conservation and Clean Energy Infrastructure
Environmental stewardship is too important of an issue to let the extremes within either political party stand in the way of commonsense solutions. Centerline Liberties knows America can reduce the effects of climate change on our economic and national security by investing in an advanced, clean energy manufacturing and infrastructure. A 54% majority believe clean energy initiative laws will have a positive impact on their state. Innovation and bipartisan solutions are how we will successfully leverage America’s competitive advantage to drive other nations to lower their carbon emissions, while increasing job creation and maintaining a strong economy here at home.
Contraceptive Care and Access
Contraception has been legal in the United States for over 50 years and yet continued access remains uncertain for millions of Americans. Voters overwhelmingly agree that increasing access to contraception is a “freedom issue.” An overwhelming 91% of all voters agree that ‘All people in the United States should be able to both afford and have access to contraception. They should also be able to obtain information on what method of contraception would be best for them. Centerline Liberties will work with solutions-oriented policymakers at all levels of government to maintain safe and reliable access to contraceptives.
Election Modernization
Free, fair, and honest elections are the cornerstone of any democracy. As technology evolves, opportunities exist to expand ballot access for all American citizens while improving the safety, security, and accuracy in our democratic process. At the same time, misinformation and foreign actors seek to delegitimize effective election administration. There is wide support for dedicating federal funding to help state and local election officials improve their systems in order to protect against foreign interference. Centerline Liberties believes that to truly have a strong democracy, we must bolster public confidence in our elections process by ensuring our elections officials have the resources, training, and infrastructure needed to maintain the security and integrity of the ballot counting process.
Immigration Reform & Border Security
America is a nation of immigrants. To continue attracting the most ambitious and entrepreneurial talent from around the world, and enhance American competitiveness, Congress must implement commonsense immigration reform and border security. Centerline Liberties believes policymakers in both parties must work together to pass reforms that secure the Southern border, meet our nation’s economic needs and protect the dignity of those for whom the torch of liberty burns brightest. Recent Gallup polling found that immigration is voters’ clear second most important issue, including 32% of Republicans citing it as the top most important issue.
America’s immigration system is complex, and a bipartisan solution is the only way to enhance our national security, protect our local communities, and maximize American competitiveness.
LGBT Freedom
The United States was founded on the belief that all individuals are created equal. Likewise, Centerline Liberties was created to support the constitutional freedoms and liberties of all Americans, including members of the LGBT community. Centerline Liberties was proud to have successfully worked with solutions-oriented conservative and centrist leaders to secure and protect the freedom to marry. Approximately 7 out of 10 Americans are satisfied with the legal status of same-sex marriage, including 56% of Republicans who agree with the right to marry. Centerline Liberties will strive to create a more inclusive society for all Americans through bipartisan policies that advances our core principle that everyone is created equally.
